We called the technology IntelliFlow® and it was implemented in a new product called AFT Mercury™. We liked to tell people that "AFT Mercury is AFT Fathom on steroids". Name That Fluid - Databases 201

AFT Software offers lots of different fluid modeling options of common fluids with the AFT Standard Fluids that are available in AFT Fathom , AFT Arrow , and AFT Impulse .  The AFT Standard Fluids can be accessed in the System Properties window and they provide fairly accurate thermophysical properties. A Personal Experience: The Mismatched Compressor and Air Distribution System in My Home

Mismatched fluid handling machinery and the systems they service are a frequent occurance in industrial, municipal and commercial fluid transfer installations. And, as I found out this morning, in residential installations. Specifically, in the residential installation in which I personally live. Two summers ago I bought a new home in the Colorado Spring area. It has an air conditioning unit that only distributes air to the upstairs. Upstairs has only bedrooms and a bathroom. Colorado Springs is a beautiful city that sits at the base of the world famous Pikes Peak . The local elevation of the city is 6000 ft...

How Many Models of the Same System Do You Have?

Well, if the answer is "more than one", then you are probably struggling to deal with way more model files than you need to be.  With all AFT products , the Scenario Manager is an incredibly powerful feature that allows one to model several different cases within a single model file. This includes different operating conditions, multiple pump configurations, different piping, system expansions, hot days, cold days, insulation, fouling and pipe scaling, etc. The list of different cases that can be modeled is essentially endless! So, I have said it once, and I will say it again... The Scenario Manager is...
