Visualize. Understand. Solve.
An international leading software to simulate, analyze and mitigate waterhammer / surge in piping systems

Welcome to AFT Impulse!

This guided demo will show you some select features and capabilities in AFT Impulse, however it is not a comprehensive list showing. There is a lot more to know about the software and how you can apply it to your specific system and industry.

Contact AFT for a personal demonstration where you can ask our engineers questions about specific project needs.

Tips for using the AFT Impulse Demo:

  • While you cannot build a model, you can select pipes and junctions to view the data input windows.
  • Run the model and view the output.
  • Review the scenarios of applications.
  • Use the notes, located in the lower right hand corner for a previews of each scenario.
  • Try to see if you can solve the questions in some of the scenarios!
  • Be curious. We encourage you to experiment with the interface.
AFT Impulse Add-On Modules
With these software extension tools, you can quickly and efficiently
complete projects. Modules can work individually or together within
AFT Impulse and with your existing AFT Impulse models.

Settling Slurry

The only commercial software solution that can model both non-settling and settling slurry waterhammer effects.

Pulsation Frequency Analysis

Helps identify and avoid resonant frequencies in systems, especially in those caused by positive displacement pumps.

Powerful Features

Import

Import GIS Shapefiles, CAESAR II Neutral files and Piping Component Files (PCF) as well as import / export EPANET files

Export

Excel Export Manager can automatically export data during a batch of scenarios. Data can be exported to specific cells.

Troubleshoot

"Test Drive" operating conditions and scenarios to determine sizes, pressures, temperatures, etc... to fix or upgrade systems

Design

Accurately simulate individual system components interaction prior to building to ensure cost-effective & efficient designs
