Vacuum Breaker Valves
Vacuum breaker valves are devices that protect pipes from low-pressure transients and help to avoid cavitation or pipe collapse by allowing gas—usually air—into the system. Special consideration must be made to the inflow and outflow characteristics of vacuum breaker valves as well as their location. AFT Impulse assists the engineer with sizing the valve and locating the place where the valves will provide the most protection.
