Colorado Springs, CO, USA - September 29, 2022 - Applied Flow Technology (AFT) welcomes Liam Young as an Applications Engineer. Liam is a graduate of Iowa State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Liam is a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, which is also the home of the AFT headquarters office. During High School, Liam accumulated dual college credits which allowed him to accelerate his education at Iowa State University to earn his Mechanical Engineering degree, as well as a minor in computer science.

Liam’s senior year project was the Systematic Communication Objectives and Telecommunications Technology Investigation and Evaluation (also known as SCOTTIE). This project studied the effectiveness of learning through various mediums such as In Person, Virtual Reality, and potentially Augmented Reality.

Liam is an avid snowboarder, a former wrestler, and enjoys 3d printing and costume design.

In his role as an Applications Engineer, Liam will work with the support team to test and document software, maintain training programs, as well as help users located around the world troubleshoot their flow analysis models.
