AFT Impulse Celebrates 20 Years

November Marks 20th Anniversary of AFT ImpulseTM

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., November 10, 2016 – Applied Flow Technology’s waterhammer and surge analysis software, AFT Impulse, will celebrate its 20th anniversary Nov. 21, 2016. AFT Impulse’s evolution over the last two decades has included six successive versions, each containing a wealth of significant new features and improvements.

Its latest version includes enhancements to the graphing capability, language support (now including German and Chinese in addition to French and Spanish), and the Force Summary report in the output.

AFT Impulse 1.0 was launched Nov. 21, 1996, just three months after AFT President Trey Walters, P.E., and Vice President of Technology, Jeff Olsen, moved the company from Ohio to Colorado.

Since then, AFT has partnered with more than 30 channel partners worldwide to provide AFT Impulse, its modules, and AFT’s other products to customers in more than 70 countries.

“As the original author of AFT Impulse, I am extremely proud to see how it has been utilized on such a wide variety of applications in so many countries around the world,” said Walters. “Engineers have come to view AFT as the provider of high quality and highly usable software, backed by a strong support team behind it. That has been my goal since the beginning and is very satisfying.”
