Use of software on nuclear safety systems requires a higher level of validation than normal industrial systems. AFT Arrow has been validated for such use on nuclear safety systems. This means that modeling of steam and other gas systems in safety related work can now be performed with AFT Arrow.

Nuclear power has had a bumpy history. In recent years nuclear power has come to be viewed by some as a clean source of power with virtually no CO2 emissions. Different countries view nuclear power in different ways.

Use of software on nuclear safety systems requires a higher level of validation than normal industrial systems. AFT Arrow has been validated for such use on nuclear safety systems. This means that modeling of steam and other gas systems in safety related work can now be performed with AFT Arrow.

Interest in AFT's nuclear validated software is high. Similar to the nuclear validation of AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow has a commercial grade dedication (CGD) available for purchase.

An independent company, Archon Engineering, has performed the commercial grade dedication. This page discusses what is covered and how to purchase the nuclear verification and validation package from Archon.

Also of interest to nuclear customers is that Archon performs regular updates to the validation package. This means engineers can continue to use more recent versions and/or maintenance releases of AFT software and still have access to the proper validation.

Free Verification of AFT Software

Those who do not work in the nuclear field but still have an interest in validation activities can turn to the verification models and Help files provided with all our software. These models and files are installed with our software and compared against open literature examples.
