Addressing the unique challenges of modeling settling slurry flow, the new Fathom Settling Slurry Add-on Module (SSL) uses state-of-the-art correlations to predict the flow, pressure drop and reduced pump performance when pumping solids.
The SSL module provides a uniquely flexible slurry properties input method accommodating preliminary analysis where only basic properties are available to those cases where detailed slurry properties are known allowing the most rigorous solution methodology. Slurry properties may be saved in databases for reuse and sharing with others.
In addition, the SSL module includes important slurry specific capabilities such as pump de-rating, special output reports and special slurry system curve generation. And, all of this within the framework of the class leading incompressible flow analysis tool, AFT Fathom.
